Growing up in Germany, I was surrounded by real sauna culture. Later, as a competitive athlete and entrepreneur, I learned that true performance and mental clarity came from disciplined recovery, not just harder training. When I moved to San Diego, I was surprised by the lack of authentic contrast therapy spaces.

Growing up in San Diego, saunas weren’t part of my world. I spent years building a career as a rare coin dealer, working long hours and focusing on business success. But that relentless pace took a toll, weight gain and burnout crept in, a wake-up call that I wasn’t taking care of myself.
Our Story
We created RAPID because we both experienced firsthand how powerful a simple, consistent sauna and cold plunge practice can be and how few places actually do it right.
We saw a clear gap: San Diego had gyms and spas, but almost nowhere offered a dedicated, intentional space focused solely on authentic Finnish sauna and purposeful cold plunge.
We wanted to create a calm, modern club where real people, athletes, busy professionals, parents, and anyone seeking better health could build a sustainable weekly ritual that actually delivers results: reduced stress, faster recovery, clearer thinking, and long-term resilience.
Our vision is rooted in Finnish tradition but designed for California life, supportive, not extreme, and built for real bodies and real schedules.
